Music has a way of helping your soul flourish. As we work to find justice in our communities, our souls may get weary in the process. I’ve chosen a few tracks to remind us where we came from, how awesome we can be, remind us why we need to fight and give us the energy to keep fighting.
There are songs from the elders to remind us of the history of our struggle, and the longevity within us to survive and be magical. Also, there’s music from current artists to let us know that we aren’t alone and that the fight will go on as long as it needs to.
Reflect on the ideas and emotions of these songs and get into the beats. Let it uplift you when you’re weary, and get you hype and focused as you get organized outchea in these streets.
