Financial executive Mellody Hobson gave a great TED Talk on the problems with color blindness and the importance of representation. As one of the two Black female chairs of a publicly traded company, Hobson has had enough run-in’s with colorblind racism to be an authority on the topic. The business woman discusses her rise to her position and how it was not an avoidance of race conversations but facing race head-on through her lived experience that brought her to where she is.
