The Visibility Project is a stage rigged with a fixed spotlight on artists and playmakers of color and the LGBTQ community.
An online platform founded in 2014 by a team of writers, editors, and visual artists, The ViP endeavors to showcase the work of marginalized communities and create conversations about diversity, representation, visibility and other issues of those who don’t find themselves authentically and/or fully represented in mainstream media.
Our mission is to increase the visibility and representation of both colored and queer artists and playmakers, with a spotlight on art and media, mental health, and invisible illnesses and disabilities, to fight for the improved quality of life and liberation of all oppressed peoples.
